Ayn Rand - Quotes

"When "the common good" of a society is regarded as something apart from and superior to the individual good of its members, it means that the good of *some* men takes precedence over the good of others, with those others consigned to the status of sacrificial animals."

This is why Corporations are running us over. They have the message that what they do is 'for the common good of all of us' and subsequently, the little guy gets beaten up.

A great example of this is a movie I saw at the cinema last week called McLibel. It is the story of how McDonalds tried to go after two people who refused to say 'sorry' for anti-McDonalds propaganda.
