The Forever War
Thank you Nancy P for finally saying what Bush only said at the beginning of the GWOT that its an unending war. Israel knows it, Saddam knew it, Lebanon knows it, Iran knows it. Maybe just maybe USA will grok it.
The fact is this war came to us. We choose to fight it in Iraq. The Democrats are correct that we can do a Reagan and just leave like he did in Lebanon, or a Clinton and leave Somalia and we can pretend we are at peace. We can stop the news coverage and ignore the killing and dying. But the war will not end.
